Ready To Build - Est 2025 - API and AI Enabled End to End Survey, Design & Build
And so are we.
You may have received a Post Card. This Post Card entitles you to 10% off the final (second half) invoice.
This Post Card is not combinable with the Local Business Discount Post Card, which entitles businesses in our half of Yorkshire to 10% off the haulage cost.
To get both you simply need to enter your credentials; and the system will check that these are correct and you are who you say you are.
There is no expiry date, and no code to remember. You are the coupon code, we just want to reward you for being you.
If you work with children or young people you might be applicable for our Working with Youngsters discount which entitled you to 10% off the final invoice over at Playhouse.co.uk
If you don't want The Work Igloo (classed as a Caravan/Plant&Machinary) and instead The Igloo to be classed as a 'Development' (with foundations). Over on GardenPlay.ai we offer 10% off to anyone with a EPC Grade of D or below - called the Cold Home Discount.
If you work with the NHS you are entitled to a 10% off a Granny Annexe over at GardenGranny.com which will be live, hopefully next year 2026.
We sent you a postcard because we thought you might be interested. If we are wrong; let us know.
If you have received a postcard and want to opt out of future brochures and postcards. We want you to tell us and we will leave you alone.
DATA GATHERING STATEMENT. We used publicly available API to scrape the Energy Performance Certificate Directory and other open source tools. We did it legally and it was free.
First we used GEONAMES to collect all the postcodes in the UK; and purged the list to include only Yorkshire addresses.
Then we purged out every address outside of Yorkshire.
The we used the Postal.io API to return a longitude and latitude for each of these postcodes.
And used a Visual Basic Macro to sort these by proximity to our workshop.
Then we used the EPC API to show us the energy performance certificate grade for nearly a million of the homes closest to our workshop. Showing too the floor area of the house, and if it is rented or owned. If it's a house or a bungalow and the estimated heating bills too.
We wanted to relate this data to council tax bands, but these are private. So we decided to use an AI route and get enough raw data to train Gemini API to infer the rest.
We used Beautiful Soup in Python to load up each postcode in Seleniun; and ran this for around 20 thousand of the million postcodes.
Then we matched each postcode to the Index of Multiple Deprivation and the Valuation Office Agency figures for each Lower-layer Supa Output Area (LSOA).
We trained Gemini on the typical crime, disability, environment and deprivation percentile for each of the postcodes.
Then Gemini predicted the house value for each of the million homes; and inferred a probable Council Tax Band.
A) If you have received a postcard; It means you spend a lot on heating when compared with the value per m2 of the home. We believe that a Garden Office Igloo would dramatically reduce your heating bills and add value to your home.
B) However we think it's important that we let you do this yourself too. We made a number of Garden Survey tools that benefit from the EPC API.

DATA GATHERING STATEMENT. We used publicly available API to scrape the Companies House Directory.
Then we used the Companies House API to scrape names addresses, occupations and SIC codes.
We scraped about 100,000 registered businesses around our nearest half of Yorkshire.
We used Pandas in Python to filter occupations and company titles that we think would benefit from an igloo. For example if you ever registered a business and put down "Musician" then we want to reach you.
Then we used Pandas again and checked the EPC register to see if you registered your company as your residential address.
A) If you have received a postcard; It means you spend a lot of time doing creative activities and we wonder if you want to do those in a quiet and warm garden office igloo.
B) However we think it's important we let you use the same research tools yourself so have made a widget that lets you connect with other creatives you are close to.
