READY TO BUILD Ltd is a distinct entity from READY to BUILD c.i.c - The business is just a small construction contracting company in The East Riding of Yorkshire with more than 12 years of experience: we had the idea that clients could use the power of AI to draft their own contracts and send them to us to review: rather than the other way around - this simple role reversal finally solved the problem of how to make tradesperson labour an e-commercial product.
READY to BUILD c.i.c (Community Interest Company) was set up to provide clients with all the tools they would need to be able to self service their own building work - as a c.i.c we are are licenced to access and process government records as they relate to property. Harnessing the power of data we provided the solar power, rain water harvesting, insulation calculators you can see here in the Green Finance Calculator app and we used more licences to provide the Permitted Dev Calc, the Contact Politicians Map and the Ecological/Archaeological Significance Checkers you see our Planners Toolbox.
Our mission is to reduce the barriers to all information. The vision is to make building annexes, extensions and installing home modifications as easy as getting a GP's appointment, getting a check-up and going in for surgery. Of course the actual labour and the materials cannot be free - but the diagnosis can be and should be free at the point of use. The apps are free to use, there is no credit card to put down, no gems or credits to buy and certainly no subscriptions. We don't even run ads.
We pay for server time by publishing the outputs of the data every 3 months in a magazine style publication called The PIP. We value youth entrepreneurialism especially in the trades and first year self employed sole traders receive a 75% discount. We value energy and fuel poverty and all our Green Finance Tools are designed to tell you, to the penny, what your new and improved utility bill will be after making sustainable home modifications. The PV Calc outputs your estimated electric bill given a certain area and type of solar power. It's a copy of Google's Project Sunroof but for the UK only. Project Sunroof is only available in the US. We take weather data. You enter your estimated pitch to turn a floor are figure into a roof area figure and we get your orientation from the Land Registy. Unlike Project Sunroof we have not yet accesses Google Earth to understand shadows from trees and other buildings.
