Ready To Build C.I.C - Est 2025 - API Enabled Surveying + AI Contracting + CNC Manufacture + CO-OP Build
The beta tool below shows all construction tenders posted by councils in the UK: this will also be where you will find our own contracts you can bid for. There are zero contracts of our own to tender for at the moment as we are still building R2B Ltd . The rest of this page will detail what contract novation means and how we find jobs for a wide variety of tradespeople using our two apps.
What it is: The UK’s official place where public sector buyers publish statutory procurement notices (the “legal notices” that have to be published for many regulated procurements).
Typical use-case: Higher-value / regulated procurements and contract notices (the role that OJEU/TED used to play for the UK).
Data shape: Notices are structured and designed for e-notification; you’ll see lots of formal notice types, and it’s common to consume it programmatically for analytics.
What it is: A transparency portal used heavily for below-threshold opportunities (and publishing awards), plus it often carries copies/links of above-threshold notices for visibility.
Typical use-case: Finding smaller, more local opportunities and awards that might never appear on FTS (depending on rules/authority).
Process rule (important): Guidance has been explicit that where a notice must go to FTS, it should not be published on Contracts Finder before FTS.

Novation
What is it?
Transferring rights (getting paid) and delegating tasks.
Replacing the entire contract with a brand new one.
Consent
Usually doesn't require the client's permission (unless stated in the contract).
Requires the consent of all three parties (You, the New Guy, and the Client).
Liability
You stay liable. If the new person messes up, the client sues you.
You are released. The original contract is cancelled; you have no further risk.
Complexity
Simple; often just a notice sent to the client.
Higher; requires a tripartite agreement (a "Novation Deed").
Date: [Insert Date]
Yorkshire Igloo Ltd ("Outgoing Party")
Jim Bloggs ("Incoming Party")
Sherlock Holmes ("Continuing Party")
The Outgoing Party and the Continuing Party entered into a contract dated [Date of original contract] for [Brief description of work, e.g., Bathroom Remodel] (the "Original Contract").
The parties have agreed to novate the Original Contract to the Incoming Party.
Novation: The Original Contract is hereby cancelled. A new contract is created between the Incoming Party and the Continuing Party on the same terms and conditions as the Original Contract.
Release of Outgoing Party: The Continuing Party releases the Outgoing Party from all future obligations and liabilities under the Original Contract.
Acceptance by Incoming Party: The Incoming Party agrees to perform the work and assumes all duties and liabilities previously held by the Outgoing Party.
Past Liability: [Optional: Choose one]
Option A: The Outgoing Party remains liable for any work performed before today’s date.
Option B: The Incoming Party takes over all liability, including work already performed.
This must be signed by all three parties to be valid.

In many jurisdictions, a contract requires consideration (an exchange of value/money) to be valid. In a novation, you (the Outgoing Party) aren't necessarily paying the client to let you leave—you’re just leaving. Formatting it as a Deed removes the legal requirement for "consideration" and makes the hand-off ironclad.
Important Note: I'm an AI, not a solicitor. While this structure is standard, local laws or specific trade regulations (like gas or electrical certifications) might require extra clauses to ensure you are fully protected.
Would you like me to adjust this template to include a specific clause, such as who is responsible for the warranty of materials already purchased?
